Morning After Pill is an emergency contraceptive, a method used to help prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure (e.g., missed pills, broken condom). It is a single pill containing a progestin hormone, 1.5 mg levonorgestrel.  It’s been safely used for 40 years.
