What is emergency contraception?Updated 3 months ago

Emergency contraception is a method of birth control used to help prevent a pregnancy after unprotected sex, or if a birth control method is used incorrectly or fails (e.g if you missed pills or the condom broke or slipped off). The most commonly used emergency contraception method is a single pill that is taken within 72 hours of having unprotected sex.
