How are UTIs diagnosed?Updated 3 hours ago
Usually through a simple urine test called a urinalysis (short for urine analysis). You pee in a cup and they put a drop under the microscope and look for signs of infection: white blood cells, and red blood cells. Our UTI Emergency Relief Kit has two tests that help you check if you have a UTI. After you have experienced a UTI you may be able to self-diagnose a subsequent UTI based on the symptoms. Sometimes your doctor will also do a urine culture to identify the specific bacteria and determine the best antibiotic.
